Southampton Art Center enriches its summer lineup with rejuvenating wellness events.

Southampton Arts Center is well known for strengthening the East End community, catering to a shared passion for art of all mediums. Influenced by cultural traditions and the rich history of the region, SAC provides multigenerational audiences with an opportunity to have transformative experiences through creativity and education. Art is the great unifier, and here it’s used to provide a platform for the diverse voices that make up the Hamptons, creating mutual understanding and inspiring impactful change.

Among SAC’s pillars of programming is wellness, promoting mind, body and spiritual alignment. The arts and culture center encourages Hamptonites to focus on self-care through fun, imaginative offerings in a variety of disciplines. Here are several offerings on Southampton Arts Center’s vibrant and robust wellness menu:

BARRE | FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS, 8 AM & 10:15 AM, JUNE 25 to AUGUST 14

Barre is a total body and mind workout, seamlessly blending ballet, Pilates, strength training and yoga. An instructor will guide participants through movements and holds, using a set of light weights and body weight for resistance. Experts say you’ll work muscles you didn’t even know you had! 

BANDE CARDIO FIT | FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS, 9:15 AM, JUNE 25 to AUGUST 14

This 45-minute class combines cardio and strength training. Boost the heart rate with vigorous movement, then sculpt the body with poses designed to strengthen and lengthen muscles, increasing tone and promoting flexibility. Prepare for the endorphins to flow.

WEST KEPT SECRET | FRIDAY, JULY 23, 9 AM & 11 AM

This renowned HIIT workout heads to the Hamptons as part of the brand’s pop-up fitness tour, offering a blend of cardio, strength exercise and Pilates work. Test your limits using a treadmill, Pilates reformer, Pilates springboard, TRX straps, barre, bike and boxing bag. 

SOUND MEDITATION | SATURDAY, JULY 24, 10:30 AM

Led by integrative sound specialist Daniel Lauter, this soothing sound bath will immerse participants in healing vibrational frequencies. Workshops feature crystal singing bowls, gongs, Tibetan and Himalayan bells, rain sticks, ocarina and more.
